Aakif Habib: Aakif Habib is renowned in the interior and architecture space, both in Indian and international circles. He is extremely aware of new trends in this industry, being a regular attendee of global trade fairs be it in Milan or Dubai or Paris or London and India. This year he and his firm, Atelier Habib, has been listed among the Top 100 talents by Architect And Interiors India magazine.
Tasneem Merchant: Tasneem has mounted her fashion collections at Lakme Fashion Week and at Bombay Times Fashion Week, once making a couture line using upcycled banana stem-based fabrics. She is a passionate advocate of sustainable solutions in fashion and runs her Tasneem Merchant Design Studio between Mumbai and Dubai, and is also a faculty member of the NIFT (“National Institute of Fashion Technology).
She is currently exploring a way to make Vegan Leather in a way that is sustainable from a profit point of view. She will be well versed to talk about ‘Agro Waste Leather cloth and the entire supply chain.’ She can also address the profitability of this effort, as opposed to how easy it would be to just lean on old systems that work with leather.
Nivedita: Nivedita, ventured into fashion at 19, graduating as valedictorian from NIFT, New Delhi, in 2000. Leading with style, she helmed design at Arvind Brands, elevating international brands like Arrow, Lee, and Wrangler in 2001. Launching her eponymous label in 2002, her creative prowess and business acumen propelled exponential growth. By 2006, her flagship store adorned Fergusson College Road, Pune, expanding to Kalyani Nagar in 2012 and Mumbai’s Juhu Tara Road in 2016, spanning 10,000sqft. Rooted in tradition yet modern, her couture speaks volumes, blending clean lines, precision cuts, and handcrafted details. With over 18,000 global patrons, her brand epitomizes luxury, offering a lifestyle transcending bridal, groomswear, and ready-to-wear into travel and resort pieces.
