Meet LWL Member Eesha Sukhi, the brain behind BlueBop, a flagship cafe in the heart of  Mumbai that has received the love of many. Let’s trace her journey as a first time restauranter as her venture got hit by covid within the first three months and managed to survive (and thrive!) when several senior players in the game couldn’t.

The Genesis of BlueBop

In November 2019, Eesha opened the doors of BlueBop, without an inkling that her entrepreneurial debut would coincide with the onset of a pandemic! Despite the prevailing uncertainty that hit all businesses, especially the F&B industry, Eesha and her dedicated team forged ahead, serving up gastronomic experiences via delivery methods to residents and earning loyal customers. As the world slowly opened again, they bought the community they had built over the long lockdown months together in their café over jazz nights, celebrating every moment.

A Journey of Learning and Growth

From mastering consumer marketing to formulating business-to-business strategies, Eesha imbibed lessons in organisational structure, process optimisation, leadership, and innovative marketing techniques that she acquired during her time at organisations such as Yahoo, Starbucks, Vero Moda, and Vogue. With her expertise, she began her entrepreneurial journey, skillfully combining creativity, customer focus, and unwavering commitment to quality.

As a female entrepreneur, Eesha encountered obstacles familiar to many in the dynamic business landscape. Yet, she refused to let gender define her journey, recognising that the hurdles of entrepreneurship transcended societal stereotypes. She met challenges head-on, be it securing capital investment, mastering time management, or fostering a loyal and talented workforce. Eesha’s ability to navigate unfamiliar territory showcases her spirit.

Eesha recently expanded with the launch of BlueBop Bakes, a gourmet bakery with an array of artisanal breads, gluten-free desserts and much more.
