During our ‘Rendezvous’ with Author Amish Tripathi at The Chambers, Taj Mahal, New Delhi, we celebrated the launch of his keenly anticipated novel ‘War of Lanka’, the fourth book in the blockbuster Ram Chandra Series. Not only did it bring forth his interpretation of the iconic story of Sita, who was the slayer of Raavan in one of the versions of the Ramayan, but he also dropped a few hints on how the cataclysmic war takes shape in the book in his conversation with Kaveree Bamzai. He shared his views on the women who’ve shaped Indian history. In Amish’s words “Why should 50% of India’s population not be represented equally through every aspect of India?” and we couldn’t agree more!
Our members then got a chance to engage with Amish himself and have their copies of War of Lanka signed, which was followed by high-spirited conversations over cocktails and bubbly to close a fabulous evening of history, culture, and co-creating the future.
