Ladies Who Lead is an idea which was a long time coming. It recognizes the contribution and importance of women in the corporate and entrepreneurial sectors. It enables sharing of thoughts, ideas, resources and a whole lot of fun which is something corporate women did not have access to in the past. LWL has created a platform for us to come together, learn from and support each other on our journeys. It has opened up my team’s and my perspective in many ways and given us access to many valuable tangible and intangible resources which would have been inaccessible otherwise.

LWL is already making waves. Aabha Bakaya - you have built a phenomenal network. I am sitting at a coffee shop in Bahrain, as I was there for a wedding. A lady sitting on the next table was speaking about LWL with a group. She turned out to be a member from the Titans group and we spoke for about 20 mins. She’s a terrific entrepreneur and we found some great synergies.

Larger gatherings are great initiations to a community. We meet at these for the first time and are introduced to a varied set of people with a common purpose. Continued engagement with the larger community keeps the objective of the group in view. However, Smaller groups allow us to explore deeper connections, to get to know each other better and to make more meaningful bonds.

I love LWL. The learning curve from each other has been immense. It has given me exposure to industries outside of my vision, and the processes I see/ hear about are fascinating. Also, what I appreciate much is the digitisation of LWL processes and the efficient use of this WhatsApp space, which many groups don’t integrate because everyone doesn’t get tech. We can’t move as slow as the slowest person in the group. To be progressive is to lead the slowest person at a speed faster than they’re used to so we all become at par. The intent to learn and to share is fab here!

I am loving being a part of LWL. While it is lovely to see several familiar faces, it is also such a great way to meet like-minded ladies who are all doing some amazing things with their lives. It’s not easy meeting working women from different industries and backgrounds, so it is perfect that LWL gives me this opportunity.

Ladies Who Lead has been instrumental in my transition from corporate leadership to entrepreneurship. The network connected me with experienced mentors and subject matter experts who provided valuable insights for my journey. What truly sets this community apart is the supportive environment where women share experiences and learn from each other. Through meaningful interactions and networking opportunities, I've gained diverse perspectives that have shaped my entrepreneurial approach while finding a sense of camaraderie that makes the journey less solitary and more achievable.
